Automatic, Persistent Document Protection

Liquid Machines Fileshare Gateway extends the networked file server approach to managing and controlling access by placing the protection on the data, automatically encrypting files such as documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and diagrams as they are added to, or modified in, a folder or file share. This ensures protection not only when documents are stored, but during usage and distribution (e.g. open, edit, save, save as, copy/paste, drag and drop, print, etc.).

 

Using Liquid Machines Fileshare Gateway, customers can apply information access and usage policies to network directories and folders. Policies control which users have access to files based on directory or folder location, as well as the actions those users can take on files including open, read, write, save, save as, copy/paste, print and network copy. As files are added to, or modified in, a protected file share, policies are automatically applied. Files are automatically protected using industry-standard encryption technology.

 

The Liquid Machines controls and protection persist with the file regardless of how it is being stored, manipulated, or distributed. Robust auditing and reporting gives business owners complete visibility into how regulated and confidential data is being accessed and used in support of information protection and compliance requirements.
